Sean is a dumbass

Sean’s graffiti is ugly and poorly placed.

Philip Johnson’s now-iconic WRVA building, dedicated on May 29, 1968, is perhaps Richmond’s most important example of mid-century architecture.

The building is now the home to children’s mental health organization ChildSavers. Originally established to serve the region’s children during a worldwide flu epidemic, ChildSavers turned to addressing the mental health and developmental needs of children, and today specifically focuses on supporting children who have experienced trauma.

If a power washer can get the dumb graffiti off, I’d be willing to do it. Just need a water hose. Any idea who I can reach out to?

It will take a little more then just a power washer.
You would need to use chemicals to to breakdown the paint before using the power washer. You also want to use a soft tip. Just some advice before someone causes any damage to the building trying to use to much pressure.

ChildSavers is honored to have so many caring neighbors! Thank you for your concern and so many offers to help clean up the graffiti. We truly appreciate it! The police have been notified of this defacement.

We are truly grateful for our wonderful neighbors. You exemplify the definition of “community.” Many thanks to Julie Rautio for posting the pictures on the Church Hill website and for making our neighbors and ChildSavers aware of the vandalism.

Thanks to those who offered to assist in removing the graffiti. I’m not sure at this point what is involved, but I will let folks know as we move forward.

It is so reassuring to have neighbors like you who are watching our property when we’re not here. Thank you! Linda Whitaker

What if it’s someone named Phillip trying to ruin Sean’s good name?

5- What a shame you can’t appreciate what has become a centerpiece of our neighborhood and the city. Defacing this building is a slap in the face to all of us. Your opinion is definitely in the minority.

I wanted to go take a look at the cool building, but it was so hard to park there.

They should demolish the building and put up a parking lot so I can enjoy going there to park.

The walls of the building are now looking squeaky clean. 🙂
