Almost immediately prior to the Church Hill North City Old & District in 2008, the then-vacant house at 518 North 25th was somewhat controversially renovated, attracting attention mostly for the missing window.
If nothing else, 2016 brought back that window.

When the current owner purchased the property in 2007, it looks like the window was done that way by them. I am not sure why they did not reverse the window then instead of nearly 10 years later, but it is now done.
I love THEN AND NOW. My memory from the 90s is a little hazy, so these look backs are fun. If there’s one think I learned at Tuesday’s CAR meeting it is street-view window symmetry. And more lariope, fewer pepples.
