A few weeks back, high school students with the Urban Archeology Corps worked with professional archeologists to dig into Chimborazo’s past.

Over the course of the summer, Urban Archeology Corps youth received a stipend and performed in-depth research in the archives of the Library of Virginia and the Maggie L. Walker National Historic Site. They also learned about careers with the National Park Service through hands-on experiences including the excavation and interpretation of artifacts and the importance of stewardship.
