Holler if you see someone selling some tools…
From Penny:
Today my husband was working on the landscaping around Stone Brewing Company using his tools from his own business. He was robbed from his truck. We lost a Stihl weed eater, and Stihl leaf blower as well as two Dewalt drills and a Dewalt circular saw.

Please be on the lookout for the tools. Local small business and neighborhood resident doesn’t deserve this treatment. Baby on the way, too…
If you took the tools or know who did, please return them. You can bring them by Stone or the NRC and drop them off. No questions asked if you do the right thing.
Not to be nit-picky or pedantic, but was the landscaper a victim of robbery or theft?
There’s a difference (and a pretty important one, I would add).
Someone out there knows a good brand. Same brands were stolen from us years ago. ?

I’m sorry this happened. The east end has some very desperate people who do desperate things without any kind of regard. Our house was robbed by our neighbor (we found out much later) who smiled and still asked us for money after the fact. It probably doesn’t make you feel better, but at least you’re not alone. I hope insurance covers your losses.
Can we as neighbors help out by lending him the tools he needs now to continue working? Unfortunately I don’t have weed eater or blower ( well they are both broken) but anything else perhaps… i could loan a circular saw

Richard that is very kind of you.
Richard, you rock! That’s what community is all about, y’all.
Thank you to everyone who commented. We are so overwhelmed with everyone’s support and offers of tools. Right now we are checking Craigslist and talking to neighbors too. Our neighbor was approached the day it happened and offered a leaf blower believe it or not! He did not buy it, but he gave us a description of the person which we passed on to the detective handling the case.
