Still have power on 28th and Leigh. Don’t have much water pressure. Tried to take a shower. Girlfriend won’t let me watch the storm on the porch. And the dog has decided that this is the perfect time to want to go outside and pee.
I went out to move our cars to the back away from trees. It was as if I jumped into a pool after just a minute. Couldn’t move the second car because by the time I got to it, a tree fell across the entire road.
Power on and off here at 31st and R, but seems to be back in order now minus a few blown LEDs. The south knows how to do storms. I’m not a fan! Also, I’m thankful for this thread. Helped me laugh out loud a bit, which is nice considering I’ve been shaking from terror for the last hour. Ha ha
OK at 26th and Broad. Lights flickering and then all hell broke loose with the tornado warning and wind. Managed to coax kitty into the closet with me to chase away any spiders – LOL. Hope all our neighbors are OK.
Anyone know how long its gonna take for repairs? How long does it usually take dominion to come out to churchill? Its probably not safe for them to do anything tonight. Im wondering if I should just go ahead and throw out whats in my fridge.
One advantage of a ridiculously early bedtime–I slept through most of this. My husband told me our lights flickered but that was it. Hope all are okay.
Do you find this unusual to have happened twice within a 4 month span? The February storm was the first time I had heard “loud” the MCV storm warning sirens in the past 16 years at our house and now a second time in just the first couple of months this year?

Kolache Rva I went back to my parents house for snacks and refuge! Thanks, friend!
That VCU siren is totally creepy
yes. That was the worst part!
My friend Jimmy Niles used to say he was in charge of the harbinger of doom, when working for VCU.

Uuuhhh the sky isn’t supposed to flash green
Still somehow have power at 31st and Leigh. Is it worth waking our daughter if we have no basement and only a powder room for extra shelter…?
Transformer blew on 35th and M
Power out at Leigh and 33rd
@chpn got some power outages here, heavy winds for almost a half hour
Can I come out of bathroom?
Saw the blue green light, it’s a transformer behind the Chimbo market
hope you all have power… and floatation devices! 🙂
In the under-stairs bathroom with the dogs. There’s a tornado warning for a few more minutes.
As well as can be expected with 2 cats in a utility room.

I was stuck under a bridge off Blvd and 95. It was terrifying! I need wine. Lots of wine! But at least I didn’t have to hear that horrifying siren.
Tornado warning lifted, according to my VCU text!
Really glad recycling pickup was this morning…

Power still out at Chimbo & O St. Opening a wine bottle. It’s the last day of school tomorrow… Everyone will be a little blurry, right?
Powers out on the 700 block of chimbo. Dominion is gonna have their hands full.

I can tell you that an extra glass of wine or three will help you sleep through all of it next time
Mostly okay.
