Jeryl Scott will serve as principal at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School. Scott holds an education specialist advanced degree in educational leadership and administration from Old Dominion University and a master’s degree in education from Hofstra University. She brings over 26 years of teaching and administrative experience to her new position, with a specific focus in the K-8 environment. She most recently served as principal at Aspire Academy, a nontraditional high school program that provides Richmond City students with academic and attendance and/or behavioral challenges the opportunity to obtain a high school diploma. Her appointment will begin July 1, 2016.
