Blue Sky Fund is a non-profit providing transformational outdoor experiences to inner city youth.

Among other things, they currently serve in 8 Richmond City Public Schools by providing 3rd and 5th grade field trips to 900 students every month (98% of whom qualify as low-income and 70% of whom are in the East End). Blue Sky Fund also leads weekly adventure clubs at 7 sites, serving about 65 middle school students (97% of whom qualify as low-income and 85% of whom live in the East End).

“They have always made better billboards than buses”, says Executive Director, Lawson Wijesooriya. “But we are grateful to have a way to transport kids into the great outdoors!! We love being an East End neighbor.”
