First Annual Metzger Maifest

Sat Apr 30 7:00 am
The First Annual Metzger Maifest is set for April 30:

Metzger is throwing a block party to celebrate the end of winter! After the success of our Oktoberfest and Christkindl Market last year we decided that we should combine these ideas into a mega market and party – hence Maifest! We’ll be pouring an assortment of German Beers (including Maibock!), selling fun German inspired snacks out of our side window (think schnitzel sammies and everything pretzels), Ruby Salts Oyster Company will be shucking their delicious bivalves, and vendors like Drift / Riot, Maven Made and BEAR CERAMICS will be slinging their gorgeous handmade wares all while jamming to some rare funk and soul tunes on Cedar Street.

Entry to this event is free and kid friendly! This event is Rain or Shine.

Dedication ceremony at Engine Company #1

Sat Apr 30 2:00 pm
Engine Company #1 is receiving a new apparatus to replace the 1998 model we are currently assigned. As such, there is a tradition in the fire service to dedicate the new piece of equipment & we are planning on doing so April 30th (Saturday) at 2:00pm. I would like to invite you and all of Church Hill to come by and visit with us for a while; see your newly acquired (and much needed) piece of fire equipment; Maybe have some refreshments (if my sources come through); and allow us to introduce ourselves.
