Jade Salon, Richmond Rides, Pudding Please among SEED winners

In a ceremony today at Union Market on Jefferson Avenue, Bon Secours Richmond Health System announced the 12 winners for the 5th round of the SEED (Supporting East End Entrepreneurship Development) program. With this year’s grants, Bon Secours has awarded $341,000 over the past 5 years, benefiting 27 East End business startups. There are 7 new and 5 returning grant recipients in this year’s group.

The goal of the grant program is to boost business development and job creation in the East End along the 25th Street/Nine Mile corridor. All recipients must have businesses located in the 23223 zip code within the city of Richmond.

Bon Secours announced last that with their partners they will extend the SEED program for this and 2 more more years, for a total of an additional $300,000 in funding through 2017.
