Georgia’s Cardigan has a great interview with local letterpress outfit Carrington House Press:

By 2012 I had toyed around with screen-printing and basic digital printing, but that year my husband and I invested in a letterpress and I’ve never looked back! My husband and I own a small tabletop Kelsey press that has been the backbone of our letterpress business. And then we took our obsession and weekend hobby a step further and created Carrington House Press!

Behind the Name: “Carrington” is a family name of Garreth’s (his middle name and his great-grandfather’s name) and the “House” is because we started this journey shortly after we moved into our first home in Richmond, VA’s historic Church Hill neighborhood.

Ever since we’ve been creating one-of-a-kind, custom pieces—both letterpress and digitally printed—that truly capture the personality of the client or event that the paper products are representing. We print custom wedding invitations, birth and adoption announcements, moving mailers, birthday party, baby shower, and dinner party invites, greeting cards, business and nonprofit collateral and more.
