From Melanie Barron via the CHPN Facebook page:
Fellow runners, be cautious on the predawn (and evening) roads. Wear reflective clothing, lights, and run against traffic. I get so nervous to (barely) see runners in our neighborhood, day after day, running in dark clothes and with traffic. Under the best of circumstances, many drivers are distracted. Please, please be careful!!!

Great tips! I saw a pup this morning that was sporting a snazzy light up collar for extra visibility. You could see him from blocks away.

I try to light up my husband like a Christmas tree. Thank you for the reminder!

I leave for work around 6:45 a.m., which is the start of dawn these days. I go down 29th Street and pick up East Franklin Street past Libby Hill Park to get to 25th Street. EVERY DAY I make this trip I have to hit the brakes because a runner or someone on their bike with zero lights or reflective clothing will dart into my path. It’s particularly bad around the park. Keep in mind that I have my lights on so it’s not like I can’t be seen myself.
