Dock/Water Street, Main Street and Nicholson Street will be intermittently closed on Wednesday, October 7, and Thursday, October 8, to accommodate the delivery of the large fermentation tanks for Stone Brewing Company.
The tanks will arrive by barges that will dock at the Eagle Dock (next to Sugar Pad) and will be transferred to trucks to be delivered to the brewery. The first set of barges are scheduled to arrive around noon on Wednesday October 7, and the second set at 11 AM on Thursday October 8.

Traffic will also be affected on Williamsburg Avenue between Nicholson and Stony Run Parkway during the delivery process.
I read the part about when the items will be delivered. Is that the time the roads will initially close or will it happen earlier?
#bargewatch It’s like santa coming down the chimney. The tanks are here. The tanks are here. Now, can we get a grocery store? Amen.

The roads will be closed intermittently over the two days. The tank delivery is a process so specific times of closure cannot be determined exactly. Alternate routes are available from Rocketts Landing via Orleans Street-Admiral Gravely Blvd-Government-Broad. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

International bike race, highly anticipated/Richmonders complain about road closures. Fermentation tank delivery, highly anticipated/no complaints and let us know if you need help dragging them up the hill!
Cool, but I am looking forward to the solar going up.
