Seeking information on cat-killing dogs on 39th Street

From Eric posted on the CHPN Facebook page:

Yesterday morning 9:30 AM two dogs came in my back yard at 39th and crestview, and mauled my beloved cat to death.

I found the owners who were already looking for the dogs. I told them that the dogs had killed my cat. They said they had to put the dogs in their truck around the corner and they’d be back.

I should have known they wouldn’t but I was too consumed with my cat to think straight. I got no information except that the truck was a newer model pickup truck in a dark color, and that it was two middle aged black males.

I’d like to get some information that I can give to the police. I need an address or a license plate number to give them so that they can report the dangerous dogs and take measures to ensure they never do this again, and take the owner or owners to court.

If anyone sees someone that matches this description with a very large black bull mastiff or possibly pit bull mix, and a not quite as large black and brown dog with mid length hair, not sure the breed, please get in touch so that I can get a positive ID and hopefully bring a little justice for what myself and my deceased cat had/have to endure.

Eric, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss, and that the dogs’ owners left like that. I may be remembering things incorrectly, but I seem to remember posts about similar-sounding dogs killing cats in the recent past. John Murden may be able to point you to the posts, and others may be able to fill you in with additional information if it’s the same dogs.

I hate this 🙁 I’m so sorry.
How did they get in your yard? Did they jump the fence?
