East End Community Activist & Advocate Convention set for January

Rick Tatnall has organized the “East End Community Activist & Advocate Convention” for Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at Wesley Memorial UMC at 1720 Mechanicsville Turnpike.

Tatnall describes the goal of the convention as to “begin the process of connecting and organizing the various individual and organizational activism and advocacy efforts […] in an effort to enhance the quality of life in the East End.”

More than 150 elected officials and representatives from local government agencies, neighborhood groups, community service organizations, faith organization, and business support and economic development organizations have been directly invited to the convention.

The event is pre-paid reserved seating only. Tickets are $20.00, which includes lunch from Wesley Memorial UMC and takeaway materials
