Man, I’d love to be home at 3:30 in the afternoon on a weekday. Must be nice.

Such an odd remark: robbed of “US currency” … versus…

@Brian
You’d love to be at home so you could get robbed and punched? That would not “be nice” on any level.

The guy was getting a freaking ride to/from work!

@dj
I didn’t realize there was such confusion of what “US currency” is, or how odd the term is. Maybe next time we could recommend the RPD use more universal terms such as “dollarz” and “billlz” so there is less confusion.

Wow. I hope that wasn’t off of GRTC rideshares?

(With all due respect and an abundance of gratitude for the RPD and its difficult, never-ending job…)

Lt. Sayles,

Your repeated use of the acronym “BM” in the last two crime reports: Does BM=PC? or Does BM=coy?

Are you asking the community to read between the lines as you reference those who have crossed the line?

When addressing this problem/situation, let’s be clear and direct. Let’s leave no room for interpretation or ridicule. Let’s not sugar-coat, coddle, or shroud. How can we tackle this problem if you can not even say/speak, spell-out, and type the words…

P.S. There are around 142 listings of meaning for the acronym “BM”: http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/BM

Just pick one out of “the line-up”, so we can go on with the task at hand.

Sorry, #3, it wasn’t stated that he was getting a ride to/from work.

My comment was obviously just a snide remark about how a lot of BMs just happen to be at home in the middle of the day with nothing better to do.

You sure are cranky.

@G.
To clarify for those who are unable to figure out some of the basic acronyms used by the police department.

BM = black male
RPD = Richmond police department
4D = four door

Good to hear, I had assumed that this was about BJs.

Brian, I’m not sure what you mean by BM’s being home during the day.

PS: It appears there is 142 listings for the acronym BM. What was your meaning of the acronym?

Some people have shift work, not 9-5 M-F jobs so I think that the time frame is less alarming in relationship to the victims career choices and more alarming in that it was in broad daylight–which is the 2nd incident of nefarious activity in the mid afternoon that has been reported recently. That I find troubling.
