I recently found a “Hello Kitty” branded scooter and a “free spirit” bike left at our rental property. I currently have both and will happily return them to anyone who can prove ownership. I suspect both were stolen, but I still have both in my possession as they do not seem to have been reported stolen or match any sort of missing property description.

Our apartments are attached/next to an abandoned apartment building, and this seems to be a popular dumping grounds for these sorts of things. Unfortunately, it is usually children’s bicycles, older bikes, or smaller items like the child’s scooter in the picture that are left there, presumably because they can’t be stripped for parts and have limited resale value.
