A few weeks after walking Broad Street, the dudes from The Right to Bear Arms Richmond, Virginia held an event in Creighton to express their support for the 2nd Amendment.
Over the weekend members of The Right To Bear Arms-Richmond unnerved residents by marching with long guns through Creighton Court, a predominantly African-American area. The police were called by neighbors witnessing the event and at least 6 officers responded.
[…]
In the video, which was uploaded on Facebook, the officers are heard asking the group if they “could possibly understand why residents of the Creighton Court community would be concerned seeing men with long guns when police officers don’t even carry long guns in that community.”
The group has another walk planned for October 4.

Good for them.
It’s unnecessary, absurd, and wimpy for the Tea kids to “go out to the public to ‘educate’ us on their gun paranoia.”
No thanks, Tea kids. We’d really just rather you go home and tune into AM radio and leave the rest of us confident citizens alone.
And besides – the Tea trollers went out stalking in the projects? How ignorant & insensitive. Haven’t those residents seen enough gun violence to last 3 lifetimes?

Good to see that cops are now taking it upon themselves to ensure the “comfort” of the community rather than just enforcing the law.
What could possibly go wrong from having them decide what should be prevented because someone might be uncomfortable with it?

You would think these goobers would know that gun violence is a REAL issue in the East End.
If they want to educate Richmond residents, lurking around neighborhoods starting only confrontational interaction isn’t the way to do it.

I’d be interested to see the response and ramifications of these guys taking a walk in Windsor Farms.
They’re seriously out of touch and insensitive by doing it in Creighton, due to the gun violence there.

I totally agree with you, Jaron.
I hope these activists aren’t Democrats else we see them on a ballot this fall. Hillary has an especially poor history against such.
I do not understand what they are protesting. Virginia has very gun friendly laws. Shouldn’t they be doing this someplace with more restrictive laws? These guys are real lame brains.
But carrying concealed at 4:00 AM would be better in Creighton Court? I think the residents of CC have more things to worry about what happens in broad daylight and is completely legal than what happens in the wee hours of the morning.
The web is full of video with Police officers politely handling open carry people and, unfortunately of officers mishandling this right.
The 2nd Amendment ensures your right to the 1st Amendment and your ability to post here and other places. Nothing to see here, folks. Go home.

I guess it is my right to pick my nose in public, but I still have more sense than to do it.
These “activists” make my skin crawl.
How any of these idiots walked around Creighton without somebody popping a cap in their ass (or head) is a miracle along the lines of the loaves and fishes.

If you had to pass a spelling test to get a gun license they’d be showing up empty handed.
