Cyclocross returns to Chimborazo in October

Bicycle racing returns to Chimborazo Park next month with the annual Festival of Cross cyclocross contests.

The Richmond Festival of Cross is two days of cyclocross racing held in early October and is part of the VACX Series of races. The fun begins on Saturday, October 4 with the vertical challenges and varied topography of Chimborazo Park, and follows the next day on a fast, flat course through the azalea gardens and grassy fields of Joseph Bryan Park.

Cycling gear manufacturer Bragda (sibling business to Bragda Pilates), newly relocated to Church Hill, are helping to sponsor the event this year and will giving away their made-in-Richmond Bragda urban cycling cap and Bragda cycling shorts.
