From Celeste:
8:50 p.m. on Tuesday night,.street lights are out, I called city non-emergency at 646-5100 and they said the city is aware, it’s a wide spread outage, and they are “working on it” but no idea when it will be resolved.Said to call back if there were any “issues” such as break ins or whatever…

That’s comforting.
Normal out here on Y.
John, thanks for posting, it’s DARK out there! Anyone else out:? Broad at 26th and 25th are dark.
Thanks for the update C!
@chpn Any ideas on the recent blackouts in Church Hill for no apparent reason?

They’ve been on and off on Chimborazo for days (700 block, anyway). But at least one or two have stayed on. Not sure what’s causing it, cause they don’t seem to have burned out/they do sometimes come back on…
Came back on at some point around 26th and Broad before midnight.

Out AGAIN around 25th and 26th and Broad Streets. Frustrating and it’s DARK out there.
Street lights are out again http://t.co/avMOOC9Lmi
Out also in the alleys between Broad and Grace, at least around 25th and surrounds. GRRR.
@13 where was that pic taken? Just curious. I’ve got dogs barking furiously in the alley, and NO LIGHTS AND gee…can you tell I’m pissed?! LOL
Also at least 7, 8 and 9 hundred blocks of 27th street
My flashlight tag idea still stands
Called the city emergency phone number for street lights, woman said they are out from the Bottom at least to 35th St. Something to do with a substation. They have a second problem with a widespread outage on southside but it is not related. She also said that people up around Chimbo and areas in the north and east of Church Hill may be on a substation in Fulton thus not affected…lucky ducks.
While not informative, she was actually quite nice and said she was on duty on Tuesday night during that outage, too, and empathized. Good PR if nothing else…
