we found that dog on the right last night. I brought him into the yard and fed him while I grabbed a leash inside. Took him on a half hour walk to see if he would take me ‘home’ but just wandered. We asked everyone we passed but no one knew. Gave him food and water and put him in the yard since animal control couldn’t come until this morning, but the Houdini got out within a few hours. We were worried bc before we leashed him we saw him run straight across M street at full speed twice.
whoope**I was talking about the dark terrier dog on the left not the dog on the right. Although i have seen that poodle dog come up to our fence and bark at our dogs frequently.
These two gave myself and my dog quite a walk this morning at the corner of 28th and M. They followed us all the way to 30th and M and then kept going down M. Glad someone was able to get them to a safe place – they were none too pleased with us walking on “their” turf. I’ve seen the poodle – he used to climb over his/her owner’s chain fence on the 700 block of 27th and then they put in a new fence.
These things have chased me down the alley of the 700 block of 27th on multiple occasions. The mutt isn’t too bad but the poodle is extremely aggressive. Glad they are ok but not surprised they managed to escape–even with the bigger fence that was put in by their owners.
Is that poodle Bear, the Kells’ dog? I can’t tell too well from the photo. I think I saw someone walking a dog similar to the terrier around 23rd and Jefferson last week.
has anyone claimed these dogs? who posted this original picture? did you decide to just let them back out on the street? we just came across them on 26th and Cedar and have brought them to our house on 24th for the time being.
