Locks of Love fundraiser @ Poe’s Pub

Free haircuts for donors by the good folks at the new Seven Hill Salon.

The event will benefit Locks of Love, a public non-profit which provides hairpieces to children suffering ling-term medical hair loss. They use donated human hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics. The prostheses that they provide help to restore self-esteem and confidence, enabling these children to face the world and their peers.

City Council Formal Meeting

Mon Jun 9 6:00 pm
Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Very, very, very disappointed with growrva. I went by the urban farmhouse come to find only 3 vendors. This is worst than the Friday event. This is most likely due to growrva’s poor planning and lack of communication and advertisement. I mean are people really going to come, when the people who are really interested have to search hard to even see if the event is taking place? And then the confusing of where it is happening and if it is even happen?!

This is why communication and interaction with the community is essential. When you don’t have effective communication and interaction with the community, things are a bust! And I’m sure there is no way it can sustain any length of life…. To bad…
