City Council Formal Meeting

Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Better Housing Coalition’s Center for Neighborhood Revitalization is teaming up with Prospect Mortgage to sponsor a FREE Renovation Lending and Historic Tax Credits Workshop that will give you all of the financial tools you need to buy and/or renovate an older home.

Learn the “ins and outs” of home mortgage financing (including loan programs, credit, cash required, cash sources, etc). Then, learn the benefits of renovation lending, and how to buy a home in disrepair and renovate it using these unique loan programs.
