The Collegiate Road National Championships bicycle races will be held in Richmond the weekend of May 2-4.
The race on Sunday will be longest of the three, and will pass through the area on Main Street, Libby Hill, and Franklin Street.
Streets north of Broad will be closed that day, combined with the fact that Libby Hill should be the premier observation spot along the entire route pretty much ensures that traffic will be complex that day.
The World Road Cycling Championships will take place on the same route in 2015, and is expected to attract exponentially more attention and crowds.

The underlying MapQuest map this is based has a hospital sign in the middle of Chimborazo park – I don’t think that’s been a hospital for quite a while 🙂

Well, we still are fighting the war, aren’t we?
Does anyone know where to find out about street closures around Libby Hill on Sun?
Have heard the numbered streets from 29th to 25th , south of broad closed to parking.
The streets crossing the course in the Fan were no parking within a block of the course today. From that and the map above, I’d say that you have it right.
All news venues have maps and street information. Shelby from crime watch sent out street closures also. At this time Franklin, 29th and 28 th street are posted to have cars off them by 1am Sunday.
