Want to host a pop-up shop at the Church Hill Better Block Project?

The North Church Hill Better Block Project rolls on. The next immediate step is to get the word out about how existing businesses and start-ups apply to be a “pop-up shop” in a vacant storefront during the Better Block event on June 13-14.

Two important pieces of information for you:

  1. The online application to be a pop-up shop is now available and can be found here: Applications are due by April 29 (using the online form) and we plan to notify applicants in early May, leaving applicants well over a month to prepare for the event.
  2. We are hosting a short site tour of the existing vacancies (that we have access to) along N 25th St on Tuesday, April 15. It will be important for would-be pop-up shops to see the spaces we are working with and start thinking about how that fits into their plan for a pop-up. It will be important for the rest of us to consider how we can help get these sites ready to showcase in June. Let’s meet at the corner of 25th and Venable at 6 PM on Tuesday, 4/15. We should be done within an hour. Please let me know if you plan on coming.

As always, please contact me directly with any questions.

Looking forward to the pop up shop. I can’t make Tuesday’s tour., so I’ll have to email for a list of sites to check out.
