City Council Formal Meeting

Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.

Typically the second and fourth Monday of each month; 6:00-8:30 p.m. (With the exception of August, when no Formal meetings are held, and holidays)

Fulton community meeting

A community meeting will be held Calvary United Methodist Church (1637 Williamsburg Road) on March 24th, 2014, at 7:00 PM, in response to the February 18th triple shooting on Government Road in Fulton.

All are invited to join the Richmond Police Department, the Henrico Police Department, and neighbors in moving forward and uniting to bring closure to those affected by the violence.

Boot Camp for New Dads

In partnership with Bon Secours Health System, First Things First of Greater Richmond is pleased to partner with Healthy Beginnings at Richmond Community Hospital. Aimed at reaching men in the East Richmond area, this special Boot Camp for New Dads is offered with incentives for expectant dads living in the area. A $30 gift card to Family Dollar will be issued to each man completing the three-hour workshop. In addition, one of these men will be the lucky winner of an additional $70 gift card – walking away with $100 to Family Dollar!

Oakwood neighborhood clean-up

Let your Saturday go to waste – join in T.T.Y. monthly neighborhood effort to pick up litter! Meet at 1023 Oakwood Avenue. Trash bags , pick up rods, and gloves will be provided.
