Heads up! Rock-throwing kids at Jefferson Park

Ben sends in a tale of tomfoolery from Jefferson Park:

I’d let you know that people might want to be careful walking on Marshall Street below Jefferson Park.

While walking there around sunset with my wife Sunday evening 3-4 teenagers threw some very sizable rocks at us from one of the benches at the top of the hill, big enough to do some serious damage had they hit us (they didn’t miss by much). Unfortunately my wife was hit by a smaller rock, but luckily I was not.

I went up the stairs to go after them and made if to the turnaround circle but they had started running up 21st street. I think they were a little surprised we came after them and turned into some big cowards when we did.

It was a great night before that…..there were tons of people enjoying the park and were surprised when I told them what had happened.

I’d hate to see a child at the school down there get hit by this same group…
