“Give me liberty” reenactment next week at Franklin Military

St.John’s Church Foundation Historical Interpreters will present Patrick Henry’s “GIVE ME LIBERTY or GIVE ME DEATH” speech in the Franklin Military Academy Auditorium located at 701 North 37th Street, on November 7th at 9:00 AM:

This year’s ceremony will be a ground breaking event. It will feature the re-enactment of the Virginia Convention debate in March 1775 including Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty or Give me Death” speech presented by the members of the historic St. John’s Episcopal Church, Richmond, Virginia. St. John’s Church is where George Washington, Richard Henry Lee, Thomas Jefferson and other important figures in the American Revolution listened as Patrick Henry’s speech ignited the American Revolution inspiring support during a critical turning point in uniting the colonies against British rule.

The program will be held in the Franklin Military Academy Auditorium at 9:00 AM and end at 10:30 AM. Admission is free and it is open to the public.
