“A 17-year-old boy was shot and wounded Wednesday in Richmond’s East End, prompting a police investigation that briefly placed five city schools on lockdown.
The shooting was reported at 10:42 a.m. in the 1700 block of North 29th Street, near Nine Mile Road. The teen’s wounds were not believed to be life-threatening. He was driven to VCU Medical Center in a private vehicle.”
It wasn’t just those five schools. My child attends Bellevue Elementary, I received a call after school yesterday explaining that they were also on “lockdown” in response to the incident.
CMS also went on a trial “lockdown” because while they were told it was not necessary to go on lock down, they did so as a “practice run.”
