What in the world is this?
2405 doesn’t appear to be into it.
I’ll second that. What in gods name is going on here?
OMG! I thought this was supposed to be Halloween decorations when I drove by a week ago… This is a permanent kind of thing?
People don’t like them, but this is exactly why HOAs exist…
And City Old and Historic Districts. Don’t recall this going before CAR.
It takes all kinds and I bet that this is the most interesting neighbor on the block!
Definitely not CAR approved – which is what I love about it!
Why the hate for CAR? Dude knew the house was in an O&H District when he moved in.
I feel sorry for anyone trying to sell a house around that, ahem, display of self expression.
2405 is the same owner
Is this an abandoned house that someone did this to or is it actually someone’s home? I see the posted signs so I was thinking it was the former?
We biked by this the other day and commented that CHPN needed to do a post.
I don’t think this meets the standards of the Commission of Architectural Review.
What happened to this home? Neighbors want to know.
Nothing gold can stay…
This is awesome… though I’m glad it’s NOMB! I had wondered what the story was here. Sounds like just someone having a little fun.
Wait, that part of Cedar St is in the O&H District? That’s kind of fascinating in and of itself. I try really hard not to be a NIMBY, but that would freak me out. One more reason not to buy attached….
PS What’s the NOMB comment about, @Alex?
And “they” were worried about Buzzy’s staying open an hour later and serving wine? Jokes on you!
@Amy – It’s in the Union Hill Old and Historic District
NOMB – not on my block 🙂
Pretty clear from the story the guy had some sort of mental breakdown due to the divorce that was referenced. In addition to issuing him a citation for violating CAR, I hope the city reaches out to him to let him know about resources that are available to him if he needs counseling.
I’m not trying to be a buzzkill but this guy obviously feeds of attention and we are giving it him.
I like it, I think it is very creative, unfortunately the weathering is goin to ruin it!
Neighbors upset about Halloween ‘graffiti’ still on home
Whatever happens to the house and its new look, it’s certainly not just a CAR issue, that’s for sure.
