Vacant for many years and sold at auction back in April, the retail space at 324 North 27th Street is now up for rent.

I would like to commend the buyers of this place for cleaning, repairing and generally making this an attractive addition to the neighborhood in a very short time. Let’s hope for a viable, energetic business to move in!!!
Is this far enough removed from worst block in Richmond that Buzzy’s could relocate here to a more accepting set of neighbors?
Also, for those who might be interested – we were told that lease is $1500 a month for a 3 year term with $5000 credit for build-out or materials. Pretty decent recent for a commercial space IMO.
Looks really nice. Great job on fixing this up! Maybe Buzzy’s can just move in here since there seems to be such dissention SOB on extending its hours!! LOL.
Building looks very nice…..BTW…I am happy Captain Buzzy is able to extend their hours and provide adult beverage. This is the city…..and that’s why I moved here…..loving it!
Man, that would make for a super-sweet bike shop!…just sayin’. Or a bike shop that serves great coffee! Umm, may I suggest a Lamplighter / Cyclus collaboration!
@9 – where exactly would that go? It would be nice in Bilder’s theater but that’s still a ways off. Lava lofts has been talking about something like Urban Farmhouse but I haven’t heard more about that recently and that’s not quite the same.
We’re getting some cool stuff coming regardless. Between this new space, the theater space in another year and Lava Lofts we’ll hopefully have three exciting new businesses.
If Buzzy’s is having issues with neighbors, what makes you think it will be any better moving further into a residential area? II would think the issue would be compounded especially having yet another eatery for people to sit in means more parking issues over what we already have on the 300-400 blocks. Initially Dutch and Co. advertised being good neighbors and closing at 9:00pm. That hasn’t happened yet.
And to be fair, the parking isn’t as bad as expected but bad enough if you have a car load of things to take into the house especially at night or when it is raining. I am just glad they are a dinner establishment and are welcome here. Just hope the quick cleanup job (and I heard that was intentional) will not reflect the type of tenants to move in. The building needs physical work to equal the quality done to the other corners.
Does anyone know what is going on with this corner building at 324 N 27th Street? The “For Lease” sign disappeared and I have heard that a business is going in but who? I know it is not a food business since the building is not set up for one.
