New York loves Church Hill

New York Magazine’s Tap Into the New South in Richmond has some love for Church Hill, giving The Roosevelt, WPA Bakery, and St.John’s a good mention:

“Revitalized neighborhoods, new cultural attractions, and a rising culinary scene are rejuvenating Virginia’s capital. […] Reserve a table well in advance for The Roosevelt, the perennially packed, modern Southern gastropub that opened two years ago in the emerging Church Hill neighborhood. […] Grab a coffee and a delicious GF canele at WPA Bakery (pastries from $1), a new confectionary in a turn-of-the-century inn. […] Pause at St. John’s Church, where Patrick Henry gave his famous “Give me liberty or give me death” speech in 1775. Peak inside the moonlit cemetery, final resting place of patriot George Wythe, and let freedom ring all the way back to your hotel.”
