A message from Veronica Holloway of the East End Library:
Greetings to Our East End Neighbors and Friends:
The East End Library, located at 1200 North 25th Street is undergoing extensive renovation that when completed, will improve computer access, lighting and the overall appearance of the facility. The renovation project will require the Library to be closed for approximately 6 months.
Meanwhile, we have a temporary location at: 3001 NINE MILE ROAD, where we are providing the following services:
Job searching assistance
Filing Unemployment Claims
Establishing e-mail accounts
Lending books and DVDs
We have a limited collection of fiction and nonfiction books, DVDs, and recorded books for adults, young adults and children, all available at 3001 NINE MILE ROAD. Even though we do not have access to the East End book and audio/visual collection, we can make any item in the Richmond Public Library that you are interested in borrowing available to you for pick up at 3001 NINE MILE ROAD.
Thanks to the efforts of Mrs. Harriet Coalter, Director, Richmond Public Library, and the support of The Honorable Cynthia Newbille, City Councilwoman, Richmond City Council East End 7th Voter District, and Comcast, we are able to provide library services to the East End community during the renovation phases of the East End Branch Library.
We invite you to visit our temporary site at 3001 Nine Mile Road to take advantage of the continued library services. Our hours of service are 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday.
As a neighbor and partner in providing services to the community, we ask that you display the attached flyer in your establishment or include it in your newsletter or brochure to help us inform the community of our efforts to continue to provide library services.
Please call us at (804)646-4474, if you have any questions. We look forward to serving you at
3001 NINE MILE ROAD.
