Puppy rescue!

On Friday December 28th, members of Richmond Fire Station 11 responded to 1202 N. 33rd Street to assist Richmond Animal Control Officers and Property Maintenance Inspectors with puppies in a crawl space under a vacant structure. On arrival firefighters found the puppies to be in a space too small for anyone to access. They immediately started to cut the flooring and as can be seen in the picture got “down and dirty” to access the space and rescue six puppies.

Thanks to a team effort the youngsters were free of their confinement and turned over to the Animal Control Officers. Mission accomplished!
