I had an old bookshelf that I had sitting in the front yard for about 3 weeks with a sign on it that read, “Free”, no one wanted it, as I said itsat for 3 weeks. Then I changed the sign to read “For Sale $25.00”, it was stolen overnight and I was rid of it. Thanks for posting the “Tiny pieces of paper” it brought back the memory!… 🙂
OMG – thanks so much for the idea! I just put a sleeper couch out front (3300 block E Broad) with a “free” sign on it. It’s only 3 years old but it was inherited and has dog drool on it. I’m going out right now and changing the sign to $50. But its really free if you have a pick-up and some strong friends.
