Getting ready for Anthony’s

Richmond Magazine says that the new pizza place opening in the old Buffington’s spot should be open in June.

“We’re going to specialize in pasta,” he says of the new restaurant, called Anthony’s on the Hill, set to open in two to three weeks. It will also serve Neapolitan-style pizza, salads and other items. […]

Since taking over the building, Calogerakis has been renovating it — painting, replacing furniture, putting in a pizza oven and installing a hood system. Anthony’s, which uses his middle name, will be open only for dinner at first. Entrée prices at the 30-seat restaurant will be in the $10 to $12 range, and it will have a neighborhood feel, Calogerakis says. “That’s what it’s aimed at.”
