A terrier was found wandering around Chimborazo almost directly across
from the glorious Chimbo Market this evening around 5 or so. It was
very friendly, had a collor on it and a rabies tag but no personal id.
Will call the vet listed on the tag tomorrow to try to find its
owner, but in the mean time the dog can be reached at 804-363-8061

Called vet, tag was from 2007. Dog has apparently had another rabies shot, probably in 2010, so old number is not in computer anymore.

Who is the vet? Seriously, if this dog is not claimed, I know someone who “needs” a scruffy terrier and would only consider a rescue.
could you post more pictures of the dog? I think i might know whos dog this is, the guy is in his 40s or 50s with white hair glasses and walks everywhere with this dog.

Wow, HHB, you’re a little sick-o. My friend’s scruffy terrier mix passed earlier this year at the age of 16. She would like to get another scruffy terrier mix at some point.

Did this dog ever find her owner or a home?
Well, she’s up for grabs, I guess. She’s super sweet, loves to lick you, jump in your lap, curl up beside you, etc. She’s housebroken, leash trained, and a good jumper! Good with other dogs and only chases the cat if she runs. About 11 pounds, no idea state of vaccinations or age. Had the 2007 rabies tag on, but who knows. Got frontlined Tuesday.

Anybody call the Richmond Animal Shelter to make sure the owner hasn’t reported this dog “missing”?
Even better. I went there on the 12th and filled out a report. And emailed the picture to them. She didnt have any matches, going all the way back to October. But don’t worry about the sweet girl. I think she’s found her ideal home. Or she was eaten by human honey badger.
