RICHMOND, Va. (June 8, 2011) – One year after Bon Secours, the City of Richmond and the Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority embarked on a week-long planning charrette aimed at revitalizing Richmond’s Nine Mile Road corridor and 25th Street, organizers are coming together for a public progress report.

Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones, Peter J. Bernard, CEO Bon Secours Virginia Health System and Maxine Cholmondeley, interim CEO, Richmond Redevelopment and Housing Authority, will present the East End Vision accomplishments and updates as well as announce a number of new initiatives that will benefit residents and entrepreneurs in the East End.

The event, open to the public, will take place from 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. on June 21, at the Robinson Theater, 2903 Q St., Richmond, the site of last year’s opening and closing charrette sessions; events that together brought in more than 1,000 East End and Church Hill residents and leaders.
