Perhaps charming at one point. Now an example of an urban blight at its worst. Needs to be bulldozed and start over. Hit the delete key. Nothing of value to be saved for posterity on Nine Millimeter Road.

@ #1 – It’s actually being redeveloped, so much of what you say could happen. In fact, does anyone know what happened at yesterday’s 7th District Team Meeting? The area’s redevelopment plan was part of the agenda. Unfortunately, I couldn’t go to the meeting.

I’d also like to point out that there are definitely some buildings scattered along the corridor that are worth preserving (in my opinion). They definitely add character to the area. For example, take a look at the strip of houses in the 2900 block of Nine Mile Road on the north side. From what I recall, one of the cool “small houses” featured by John Murden on CHPN several months ago is along the corridor, too. It’s in the middle of the 2600 block of Nine Mile Road on the south side. It’s not the most practical house, but it’s very unique.
