Meeting set on new MLK Middle School

The City of Richmond’s Office of Special Capital Projects, along with Richmond Public Schools, will present updates on the Building a Better Richmond – Schools Capital Improvement Program to construct new schools for Broad Rock Elementary, Oak Grove Elementary, MLK Middle and Huguenot High on meetings at the schools through out the month. The MLK meeting will be held Sept. 22, 2010, at 3PM at MLK.

The elementary school meetings will include the presentation of renderings of the buildings, site plans and models, as well as dates for groundbreaking. The middle and high school meetings will include a display of new renderings, as well as a feedback session for the community to provide input on the design process.

Sept. 22, 2010 (Middle)
3:00 p.m. – Martin Luther King, Jr.

September 16, 2010 (all Elementary)
5:00 p.m. – Broad Rock
5:30 p.m. – Oak Grove
6:00 p.m. – Summer Hill
6:30 p.m. – Blackwell

Sept. 28, 2010 (High)
6:00 p.m. – Huguenot
