The empty and for sale house at 516 North 33rd Street burned fairly thoroughly late last night. This morning there were still sounds of pieces of the house falling, and the interior from front to back appears to be destroyed. No word on the cause.
The fire was reported at 11:20 p.m. The fire was well under way on the second floor of the two-story frame house when firefighters arrived, Jones said.
Firefighters entrered the house to fight the blaze and got out “just in the nick of time” before the roof partially collapsed, Jones said.
The house was unoccupied, although it’s possible vagrants were using it, Jones said.
According to some friends that saw the firefighters “handling” the fire, the spray from their hoses broke out the windows in the neighbors house and all the water started going in. There has to be extensive damage to the neighbors house because of it.

Wow….right across the street from my listing at 527 N 33rd. What a shame…that was going to make a beautiful house for that block.
The RTD has the story, too:
It’s a shame to see a house with that wood siding burn…Im sure it will be replaced with vinyl. Ugh.
Damn crack heads!!
Fortunate the house next to it only got torched a bit, instead of catching on fire as well.
Its lucky Quint 1 was not shut down for this fire, Still rolling the dice though…
Is that a condemned sticker on the house next to it too? From fire damage? From the photos it looks ok.
