Not much money in the council race

From the Richmond City Hall post for examiner.com, Isaac Graves looks into the reported donations so far in the race for the City Council 7th District seat:

The most recent reports on the Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP) website shows that the six way race for the open city council seat in the 7th district, is so far attracting scant dollars, and attention. Unlike the last council election where former incumbent Councilwoman Delores Mc Quinn garnered thousands in corporate donations in her successful re-election bid, the current race to succeed her is largely based on personal contact and candidate stamina, not money.

Cynthia Newbille has the most at $3,100. Clarence Kenney has $350. Deanna Lewis, Robin Robinson, Garry Powell and Ronald Bond have reported no donations.
