The Virginia General Assembly has wrapped up for 2009. Didja keep up with your representatives?

Specially-elected Delegate Delores McQuinn (70th District) was appointed to the committees on Transportation and Counties, Cities and Towns. She introduced one bill: a commendation of Reverend Dr. Edward Daniel McCreary, Jr. In addition, McQuinn offered prayer to the House on February 24th.

Jennifer McClellan (71st District), a member of the House Education Committee and the House Commerce and Labor Committee introduced 26 bills.

Senator Henry Marsh (16th District) is the chair of the Courts of Justice Committee and member of the Finance, Local Government, Rules, and Transportation committees. He introduced 38 bills, most notably an attempt to require that a criminal history record information check be performed before a gun can be sold at a gun show.

Both McQuinn and McClellan are up for reelection in November 2009 (an election which will also include a vote for governor, Richmond sheriff, and City Council 7th District). Marsh is not up again until November 2011.
