Elaine at Church Hill Photography has the story (and some great photos) of the denouement of an annual 35-mile New Year’s ride from Charles City County to Church Hill of some local riding clubs. The ride always ends a Jefferson Park, overlooking Downtown Richmond, the State Capitol, and I-95, just at sunset.

who cleans the horse poop out of the park
horse poop? well, actually, there were a few choice morsels left behind. i’ve volunteered to scatter them at the base of young trees in the park. the horses stopped at Chimborazo Park, too. might be a few poops still there if you want get in on the fertilizer action.
Elaine,
Thanks for coming out & grabbing pics of our annual ride. The New Year’s Day Ride is not restricted to club members. Anyone who owns a horse can ride. We hope to see you next year!
