Friends of Jefferson Park met last Saturday to decorate the park and light the tree in Jefferson Park. Their next project is this Saturday, 12/15 @ 8:30AM to assist with the planting of the trees in the park, “a wonderful opportunity to give a gift to future park users”. All are encouraged to come out and help plant trees!

From Bill Conkle, President of the FOJP:

Thanks to Norm Brown of DPW and Mary Lois Mitchum of Parks for facilitating the purchase and the planting of these trees. Thanks also to local friends and neighbors that contributed to the ADOPT-A-TREE program on behalf of the Park. And a thank you in advance to all those hearty folks that will assist with the tree planting this Saturday morning.
