Sunday, August 5 3:30 PM: Black Sunday
An effort to promote unity and good times within our community. Events are geared towards all races and ages. People are encouraged to bring out their families and lawn chairs for a day of networking, unity and relaxation. RESCHEDULED FROM JULY 29

Tuesday, August 7 10:30 AM: Beginning Computer Classes for Adults
Have computer questions and don’t know where to begin? Come by the library and we’ll help you get started! East End Library (2414 R Street, (804) 646-4474)

Tuesday, August 7 6:00 PM: National Night Out
Events are planned all over the area: The 1000 block of 22nd Street will be blocked off as New Visions Civic League and Faith Holy Christian Church partner to host a very kid-friendly event with all sorts of activities. Union Hill will have a shindig on the 500 block of 22nd Street. Bring something to throw on the grill and yr beverage of choice.

Tuesday, August 7 8:30 PM: open mic @ Poe’s Pub
acoustic open mic at Poe’s Pub on East Main, hosted by Jim Daab. Sign up is at 8:30, music starts at 9, goes until closing @2AM, 2607 East Main Street

Renovation Lending Workshop that will give you all of the financial
tools you need for the renovation of an old house in a Richmond
