When did Patrick Henry not say this? I know he said it multiple times during the war and later during the Constitutional Convention. Heck, I think he even modified it for use at home like when he famously declared “Pass the salt dear or give me death.”
Not to diminish this great man. In fact, Virginia’s Constitutional Ratification Convention, held in Richmond, was the only true intellectual debate over the merits of our current system of government. Great intellects were present on both sides.
From the Declaration of Independance: But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. Remember, it is the responsibility of those with the ability to action to take that action.
Diane Kruger was really hot in that movie. And Nicolas Cage runs funny.
I agree…….she was hot!
also a notable quote from patrick henry “i smell a rat”
