Dorez Gail was no stranger to the streets. A check of court records in Richmond revealed multiple convictions on drug charges over the past five years, in addition to convictions on assault and battery and larceny. Gail, who lived on the 700 block of Northside Avenue, was declared a fugitive on Jan. 23.
Crime victims advocate Alicia Rasin said Dorez Gail attended Armstrong High School and played basketball. She said he had six children with his teenage sweetheart, Monique Baker. He worked in construction and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church on Fairmount Avenue.
