Whitcomb man arrested in Jeff Davis shooting
Akil S. Adams, 33, of the 2300 block of Carmine Street in Whitcomb Court, was arrested and charged with robbery and possession of a firearm following a robbery and shooting last night in the 3400 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.
Fatal shooting in Whitcomb
Richmond Police were called to the 2500 block of Bethel Street just before 5PM for the call of shots fired. Officers arrived and found a male in a parked vehicle deceased from an apparent gunshot wound. Shortly after officers arrived a male surrendered to police.

Church’s Chicken robbed at gunpoint (again)
The RTD is reporting that “a black male displayed a metal handgun at the Church’s Fried Chicken outlet at 1900 Mechanicsville Turnpike” just before 7PM last night and proceeded to rob the joint. (see also)

Bon Secours Richmond Health System and the Richmond Health District have announced a series of H1N1 flu-vaccine clinics at public-housing developments over the next 2 weeks. Object breaks bus windows, suspects sought

The RTD is reporting that “a man in his 20s was walking in the 2300 block of Ambrose Street about 9 p.m. when a shot fired from a vehicle hit him in the torso.” The victim is still alive as of this morning; no arrest has been made. This same block has already seen one [...]
Church’s Chicken robbed at gunpoint
The RPD’s Noteworthy Incidents yesterday reported that on 10/26/09 at about 1PM “the business at 1900 Mechanicsville Turnpike was robbed at gunpoint by three unknown males. One arrest was made.”
