A male reported he was shot by an unknown male. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Gary S. Green, 41, of Henrico, died this morning. He and another man were robbed at gunpoint by two unknown males at approximately 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 28, in the 1900 block of Redd Street. [...] The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested Russell L. Johnson, 28, of the 600 block of Hancock Street, late Saturday evening and charged him with conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit malicious wounding and use of a firearm during the commission of a robbery.

Richmond Police say the first incident happened in the 1900 block of Redd Street around 6:00 p.m. Friday. [...]

Then, about nine and a half hours later, police say they responded to the 900 block of North 21st Street, and found another person shot twice in the upper body. That victim was taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A male reported he was stabbed by an unknown male. His injuries are not life-threatening.

Responding to a call from residents complaining about a strong odor, Richmond police yesterday discovered a badly decomposed body in a shed [...] with lawnmowers and other gardening and lawn equipment.

A man said he was shot about 1:55 a.m. in the 1900 block of Redd Street by someone who got out of a dark-colored vehicle.

On Sept. 16, he is suspected of robbing the Wawa gas station at 5231 Brook Road and the Citgo gas station at 2301 Mechanicsville Turnpike. He is also suspected of the Sept. 17 armed robbery of the Community Supermarket at 1915 Mechancisville Turnpike.

The fire occurred about 10:40 a.m. in a second-floor unit at a two-story apartment building in the 1900 block of Redd Street, near the Accommodation Street intersection.

“About 50 people surrounded the crime scene within minutes of the shooting but quickly dispersed when police approached them for information.”

A male reported he was assaulted and robbed by six unknown males.

A 17- to 18-year-old man was shot twice [last night] … around 8:30 in a residence in the 1900 block of Redd Street, police said.

The victim is described as being in critical but stable condition. Police are looking for Lamar Shamon Hill in connection to the shooting.

Person of Interest – Redd Street Shooting

The Richmond Police Department is looking for Lamar Shamon Hill, 24, formerly of the 3100 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

Hill is a person of interest in last night’s shooting of an 18-year-old male at a residence in the 1900 block of Redd Street. The victim was taken to VCU Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

In addition, Hill already was wanted on a probation violation, for possession of narcotics, and two counts of contempt of court.

Hill is a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. A photo of Hill accompanies this advisory.
