Robbery on 1900 block of Peter Paul Boulevard

The victim told police he was assaulted and robbed by three unknown males, one of whom struck him in the head repeatedly with what appeared to be a black semiautomatic handgun.

Jones gets 3 years for dogfighting

Deano Jones was sentenced today to 3 years in prison: Authorities seized 21 pit bulls from Jones’ home in the 1700 block of North 23rd Street. Seventeen of the animals had to be euthanized, according to testimony in court today. Authorities also recovered a treadmill, steroids and other materials associated with dogfighting.

Jones will serve 20-36 months for dogfighting
